Outdoor cafes are one of the many joys of being in Paris, but the cost can really add up quickly, especially if you choose one that's on a main square or tourist area. You can easily pay 6 euro for a bottle of Heineken. Plus, there are times I just need a bit of peace and quiet. Since it was mid-afternoon, Gord picked up a sandwich and I popped into a little shop right across the street to find large cans of Heineken for only 2 euro 10 cents, a bargain in my eyes in comparison! We found an empty bench overlooking the Seine and rested our weary feet. It was the perfect choice plus I had been avoiding thinking about Rugby for 2 days and I couldn't hold back the tears any longer.
