Port Vanves Marche aux Puces

Saturday, July 9 morning

On previous trips we've gone to Porte Clingnancourt Les Puces Flea Market in the 18 arrondissement in the north part of Paris. It is so huge and can be overwhelming; row upon row of 100's of stalls, one can lose their sense of direction easily. Preferring a smaller scale, this morning we headed in the opposite direction to the Port Vanves flea market; maybe 100 - 200 vendors. Friendly people bantering with each other, enjoyed bartering, overall just a more fun experience.
...wish I had more room in my suitcase

...interesting people

When I saw this antique metal carrier, I knew it was meant
to be. Especially when I asked the price and the lady said
20 euro. When she saw me hesitate she asked, what would
be my price? I asked 15? and she said 'ok'. SOLD! I saw an
identical one in Brussels 2 years ago with a 35 or 40 euro
price on it so I figure I got a bargain. It would have been
very easy to keep buying!
